Add a Text Note to a Gantt chart in project

I would like to add a small note to a Gantt chart, is this possible?

What I have at the moment is a task that is split into 3; Delivery #1, #2 &
#3. I have used Text1 & Text2 for the left and right-hand of the bar and I
wanted to add an arrow, with text, to teh centre portion.

I could split the one task in to 3 tasks but just wondered if the above is
possible.

View/Toolbars/Drawing
Select the arrow from the toolbar and draw it where needed. If you right
click on the arrow and select "Properties" you can attach the arrow to a task
or a date. You may also change the color, thickness, etc.

Thanks for that Jim. Can I attach text? What I am looking for is something
similar to Insert/Text Box as in MS Word or Excel.

The drawing toolbar contains a text box.
You can also double click on the task and then pull the Notes tab, type your
note there. An icon will appear in the indicators column that you can mouse
over and get a view of at least a portion of the note (depending on its size
and length). I do know that the mouse over will cut off at the first
carriage return in the note.

The full note is always visible on the notes tab

Any tips on placement as the box does not appear in print as it does
on-screen?

Click "Insert", then "drawing", then "text box". Simple as that!

Reg your question on "Any tips on placement as the box does not appear

Follow the below steps
1) Draw the rectangle (or any shape) near the task bar
2) Double click the rectangle; Format Diagram dialog should open.
3) Select "Size & Position" tab, and choose "Attach to task" radio
button
4) Provide the id to which the task to should move along
