Add an inches sign to many rows

Denise

I have a spreadsheet that has a number in each row that doesn't have an "
inch sign. I want to add an " sign to each of the cells next to the number
without have to manual put in ". i.e. 29.3 29.3"

Is there a special trick?

Type the " in a cel, then use the concatenate formula. You can then paste
your results in the original column.

hi
try this;
if number is in A2, in B2 use formula
=A2&""""
copy the formula down as far as needed. copy B column and paste special
values.
delete A column.
adjust cell references to fit your data.
note: in doing the above, you loose all ability to do math with the numbers.
with the inch sign, excel looks at the numbers a text.

Select the rows and Format>Cells>Number>Custom

Type 0.0 then Alt + 0148(on the numpad)
