Hello,
Can someone help me please.
I have a worksheet with multiple rows and columns of data( Numerical and
text).
I have set up another worksheet to read certain information depending on the
entered information. This worksheet I have almost completed but i am
struggling with one aspect.
Worksheet 1
A B C D E F G H I
J K L
Date Name Vehicle X X X X Hours X X X
X
10.9.09 pete dy23frt x x x x 3 x x
x x
x x x x 4
x x x x 4
10.9.09 gary dy35juy x x x x 2 x x
x x
x x x x 4
10.9.09 brian dy45fre x x x x 6 x x
x x
x x x x 4
Where X is column headings relating to other information.
The worksheet contains multiple columns of info, but all i am concerned with
is reading the drivers name and then reading all the hours he has worked on
that day from column H.Each driver can have many seperate deliveries each day
which is why their time is seperated in several segments. The worksheet is set
up for each week so the driver may be entered several times during the week.I
have set the other worksheet up to read the drivers name and read across to
get the first part of the days hours ( EG - Pete, first hours = 3), what i am
struggling to achieve is what formulae to use so it reads the drivers name
and then adds all hours worked that day until such time as another drivers
name is incountered in column B. For example - Pete would be 3 + 4 + 4 for
the 10.9.09.
Also it has to be remebered that pete names may well appear further down the
worksheet on another day - the 11th or 12th etc.The worksheet i have
constucted already reads the data automatically as it is entered on the main
worksheet - drivers name, number of days worked etc. I'm just struggling to
read the data relating to the hours worked each day.
If anyone can help it would be extremely appreciated.
