add enterprise resource pool and save to project server not avail

Hello,
I have two issues... might be related?
All of my project managers are able to connect their outlook, proj prof and
web access successfully. They see the correct projects when they open the
web interface. When they are in Proj Prof and click on open file they do not
get the "open from project server" option, it opens as though they had chosen
open from file. I (as administrator) do get both options. They are also
unable to import resources from the enterprise resource pool, seeing only
themselves when they open the resource centre. Their security settings allow
both actions.

I would greatly appreciate any pointers.
