Add field references (a la Word)

I am creating OneNote pages from a template I created. I want to reference
the contents of the title in the body text. Specifically I have a software
bug tracking number as the subject of the note and I want to construct a URL
in the body of the note that points to that bug in via the web interface to
our bug tracking system. So I want my template to contain a URL that has a
symbolic reference to the text of the subject so I only have to type the bug
number once.

This could be accomplished by allowinf a simple field reference like in
Word, though something more powerful would be nice. A syntax for extracting
substrings or pattern matches would be very useful. But the ultimate would
be an event model with a macro language so I could have templates that made
changes to the body when the title was altered, etc.

Dav,

Requests for an exposed object model were made many times during
OneNote's beta phase. It became clear that we weren't going to be
given one in version 1.

As far as I am aware Microsoft hasn't announced its future intentions
on this. But looking at the direction of some feature requests it
seems to me that it makes a lot of sense to provide an exposed object
model in a future version of OneNote.

Time will tell.
