Add highlight color to part of text?

Hello experts!

I would like to ask is that possible to add background highlight color to
part of text in a shape programmatically? For example, I have a shape with
text "ABCDE". I only wanted to change the background color of "BCD" to
yellow, but not turning whole shape color to yellow.

Hi David,

Thanks for your suggestion.
But those methods can change the "text color" only, not the "background
color" of text.
Does Visio has some function such like the "Text Hightlight Color" in Word?
Or are there any alternative methods to do that? Thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunately, one shape has just oneTextBkgnd cell.
An alternative may be to add rectangles behind texts, and grouping with the
text.
