Add $ icon to toolbar

How do I add the $ icon to the Excel toolbar?

If you mean the Currency (Accounting Nimber Format) button it should already
be on the Formatting Toolbar - there's no need to add it. Currency
formatting can also be applied using the Format: list in the Number group of
the Formatting Palette. There are also several keyboard shortcuts already
assigned to that command, such as Shift+Command+4 if you choose to use them.

If you simply want to add it to another toolbar you can use the View>
Customize Toolbars & Menus feature to drag the Accounting Number Format
command to any toolbar.
