Add-In Error Message

A

Arthur

When I start PowerPoint 2007 I get an error message "PowerPoint couldn't
load the add-in C:\Adobe\AdobeAcrobat6\PDFmaker.ppa
I do not see the Add-in under the Add In file options

I do not have Acrobat installed on my computer and never did have.

Any ideas how I can stop this message from appearing?.

Start REGEDIT and search for PDFmaker.ppa

Generally, for each PPA add-in, there'll be entries under HKCU or HKLM in
Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\PowerPoint\AddIns\

You could try simply editing the Autoload entry to be 0, or take the broad
view and delete the entire parent "folder" that contains

Default
AutoLoad
Path

for the add-in.

You might want to backup the registry before doing this just in case (always
a good policy...)?
