Is anyone aware of a product/plug in to Outlook that would automatically search the e-mail address of the inbound e-mail sender, query it against an existing contact list in outlook, personal address book or other database (*say, Access), and record the text content of the e-mail (e.g. the subject of the e-mail, the day and time it was sent and the body of the message) automatically into the file if it recognizes the sender ?
The purpose of this would be to identify a known e-mail address (*say, from a firm's clientelle) and then record the e-mail record into an "activity" file or correspondence log in a database. Saving a copy of sent items serves a similar purpose for a single user but it's limitations appear to be 1.) it's only for one user so other's might not be able to view all correspondence as is the case within a shared database 2.) you have to actually respond to the message for an item to be placed in the sent items folder.
