Add-in "msncon32.dll" can't be installed

I recently started to receive the following msg when I startup Outlook
2002: --> The ad-in "msncon32.dll" could not be installed or loaded. This
problem may be resolved by using Detect & Repair on the Help menu. Unable to
load "msncon32.dll" You may be out of memory, out of system resources, or
missing a .dll file. <-- I haven't downloaded or applied any software
specifically related to Outlook 2002 except for SP-2, so I am curious as to
where this message might be coming from. I have a 1.5gb machine so I should
not be short on memory, or unable to allocate reasonable resources. I can't
seem to find a thing on this dll. I always go thru the Detect and Repair
option which does not resolve the problem??! Can someone shed some light?

Not sure if this will help but I can think of 2 options to
try ... Do a full system reboot first, just to make sure
theres no nasty 1/2 loaded apps or anything ...

Let windows load up, then when its settled, open outlook.
Does it pop up when you start Outlook? Ok, check these
areas ...

1. Goto Tools | Options
On the 'Others' tab select Advance Options
Check both the Add-in Manager AND COM Add-ins ...
Everything look right here?

2. Goto Tools | Services
Everything look good here?

Im on a work PC using a strange setup so I cant help you
with what is suppose to be there, but using a little
commonsense you might be able to troubleshoot better
(Personal Folders is probably a good thing, Porn4U is
probably a good thing too, but not what you want starting
up with outlook ... well, maybe you do *grin*)

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE backup critical data (work stuff, Uni
stuff, favourite MP3s/movies) before making changes or
deleting file.

Probably wont help but do it anyway:
Ensure Virus defs. are up to date and do a full system
scan. Likewise for Spyware (I recommend Spybot)

that's the MSN connector. Do you have an MSN premium account? If not, you
can uninstall the connector.

Thanks Diane, I think I know what the real problem is. I am currently
running WIN-XP SP1a. I recently signed-up for Verizon w/MSN Premium account.
I proceeded to use my other two users on my system as guinea pigs before
committing to another e-mail/messenger package, so I installed this package
only on their environment. When I signon to their ID's I don't have the
problem like I do when I signon to mine. When I attempt to completing the
install under my ID to see if this resolves the problem msn installer wizard
is not accepting my @hotmail.com and password information. It tells me that
it cannot find any subscription info for the e-mail address that I have
provided!? I have had this account information for years. When I use the
'Forgot password button' I fill in all of the information including a new
password, and it acts as though it has accepted the change. But does not!? I
know this is MS and I can't expect any better. I am thinking of removing the
hole package an jus use the Messenger 6.2 that I recently upgraded to.
