My Outlook was using McAfee to scan for viruses. I then switched to Norton
Anti Virus. However every time I start Outlook, it keeps looking for some
McAfee add-ins. I am getting the following 2 messages:

Anyone can help telling me how to get rid of the above 2 messages?

The add-in “C:\Program Files\McAfee\McAfee VirusScan\HawkEx.dll†could not
be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect and
Repair on the Help menu. Unable to load “C:\Program Files\McAfee\McAfee
VirusScan…â€. You may be out of memory, out of system resources, or missing a
..dll file.

While Outlook is closed, rename/delete the file named extend.dat. (Note:
This file is in a hidden/system directory, so make sure you configure
Windows Explorer/Search to look for/at these file types.)

If renaming/deleting extend.dat doesn't work, see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=235009 since it describes how to get rid
of COM-Addins.
