Add-In Ribbon will not display

I am trying to use an Add-in, but the ribbon for add-ins does not display. I
am using 2007. When I click on the Office Logo, Excel Options, Add-Ins, it
shows the Add-in is listed and checked. How do I get the ribbon to display
so I can use the Add-In?

Hi,

The Add-ins tab is the default location for xl2003 commandbar style
add-ins. Whilst you can use ribbonx to place your addin on this tab if
the addin has been written specifically for the ribbon I would have
thought the controls to use it would be on a more relevant tab. This
could be one the designer has created or there could be a new group
within an existing tab. There is also the situation where the addin
could be on a contextual tab. One of my addins is like this and only
appears when a chart/shape/PT is active.

What is the add-in? Did you write it?

Cheers

You're probably right!, i have add-ins that are only visible when the
object is in use/visible, otherwise you can't find them anywhere but you
can see they're installed in the add-in tab.
