Add-in to synchronize data

Hi all - I was wondering about the best approach for an add-in to keep data
synchronized. Specifically, we are using Microsoft CRM, and have made some
(unsupported) page modifications. We need to get these changes down to the
client machines for the Sales For Outlook functionality. Our thought is
another add-in that would check to see if the files were updated and then
copy then down.

Specifically, I'm looking for advice/suggestions/example code on detecting
that files have changed, and the best methods for copying them down.
