add individual permissions

Hello,

I know that there is a PDS CheckPermission which checks wheather a specified
user has a global permission. Where do I assign these permissions to the
users or groups?

And is it possible to add new permissions? Like 2000 for 'I like him' and
check them with this PDS?

Jochen --

It is the easiest to set security permissions at the Group level, and then
to add the appropriate resources to each Group. You should only set
permissions for individual users when you have a very special situation that
requires you to do so, such as when one member of the Project Managers group
needs to be able to enter nonworking time on his team member's personal
calendars in the Enterprise Resource Pool. This would require an override
on the individual user's account. Hope this helps.

Oh, it is okay for me to set these permissions at group level, of course
this is easier.
But I want to create a new permission (lets call it "JochensPermission") as
a global permission, since I think this is easier and it is not realated to
any object in project.
And then I want to assign this permission to a user or group.
The goal is to check by this PDS if the current user has this permission,
like it is possible with other global permissions.

If you talking about creating a custom permission that does not even exist
in Project Server, I do not believe this is possible.

Hi,

that is exactly what I want to do. This is bad news for me :-( bad thanks a
lot, so I will not waste time searching for the right button.
But maybe someone has an idea for a work-around?
