add-ins: Analysis Toolpack - VBA

When I add the VBA analysis toolpack I get " compile error in hidden
module: VBA functions and subs" and/or "can't find project or library."
I am trying to use hex2dec and dec2hex functions. The correct converted
values often appear for a breif time before excel crashes. If I
reinstall the addins, this seems to work for a time until excel crashes
again, then I am back to the same old business. I am running OSX 10.2.8
and office 10.1.5. Any suggestions?

If you added the Analysis Toolpak Add-in after you applied any
updates, you have to updates again.

Also make sure you've repaired permissions:

Run the Disk Utility (in the ./Applications/Utilities
folder). From the First Aid tab, click "Repair Disk Permissions".

If neither of these help, try, with all Office applications closed,
deleting these files from the ~:Libraryreferences:Microsoft folder:

Microsoft Component Preferences
Microsoft Office Settings (10)
Office Registration Cache X

Restart XL and the files will be rebuilt.
