Add monetary value to items in shapes

I want to add a value to selected shapes, so when i drag them onto a work
sheet it tallies how much the designed system will cost?

I am adding alarm parts to drawings and want it to export maybe to excel so
i can calculate costs?

Any help will be much appreciated

Thanks for gettin back so quickly.

One last question if its ok. Is there a wizard to take me through the
process or do i ahve to get the programs set up individuallly and than link
them?

the example has templates for the excel sheet. there are also other examples
over in that area of msdn for ("executive office" is one) that does that
kind of pricing and calculating that you can work with.
