Add new people

Can someone please explain what I must do to ensure a new resource is
properly added to a project?

(This question differs from my previous one in that I am now writing about
an enterprise resource.)

The problem is that the person does not receive the server generated emails
when I add tasks to this person. The required columns are filled out in the
resource sheet, however the font is black and not bolded. Those which I
previously added have a red font, are bolded, and do receive the emailed
notifications.

Hi jzis.

If the resources appear on red and bold in the Resource Sheet view, it means
that they have a work overload at some point in time. Nothing related to
e-mail notifications.

Verify that the e-mail address of the resource is correct. Check also that
the resource is "Commited" and not "Proposed" in the Project (you can check
this under "booking type" at the "Build Team" dialog).

Finally, verify that the resource type is "Work" and not "Material".
Unlikely, but a possible cause.

How are you adding these new resources to the project? Are you using
Tools - Build Team from Enterprise, or are you simply typing them in the
Resource Sheet view? Let us know.

I am adding the resources using TOOLS, ENTERPRISE OPTIONS, OPEN ENTERPRISE
RESOURCES. Then, BUILD TEAM FROM ENTERPRISE.

Everything which Francisco suggested was checked and confirmed. The other
resources which I previously added are fine.

Geez, you don't need to yell at me! Since you confirmed the new resources
have valid working e-mail addresses, have you assigned these new resources
to tasks in the project and then published the new assignments using
Collaborate - Publish - New and Changed Assignments? If so, do you get
Spooler errors when you publish? Do you see errors in the server's
application Event Log? Let us know.
