Add "Readonly" mode and watermarking

Hi,

we have been looking for a good lab notebook solution for the longest time
and this product together with a tablet pc might be pretty good.

The feature we would most lack to even be able to use this product in this
manner is the ability to lock pages once reviewed to prevent further editing
and when doing so timestamping the page and (ideally) recording reliably who
locked the page.

I believe this product could really solve a large problem of the entire
pharmaceutical industry in how to combine the ease of a paper notebook with
the obvious benefits of transfering this information to an electronic format
for searching and sharing.

It is critical for this application that content cannot be modified without
a record of this (essentially making this a journaling notebook) or not
allowing a change to a locked notebook page at all.

The password protection currently implemented is extremely limited in its
usefulness for even the most basic security needs (since it doesn't even
cover all content types and lacks customizability).

I hope you will find this suggestion helpful and find others who are
interested in this kind of feature.

Thanks
Mirkp

You can go to the OneNote file (My Documents>My Notebook) and mark the file
attribute as 'Read Only'. But then you would not be able to modify that
section at all once that attribute is set.
