Add records to existing report

I have an existing database that I added a new field in an existing table.
It is a 2 digit numeric input. I first went into table design view and added
the new field name & data type. Then I went into the form and added the new
textbox and source details. When I go to the existing report & select the
field where I want it to display & type in the source properties nothing is
displayed on the report. What am I doing wrong?

Please kindly tell me exactly where to go because I did not build this
database & don’t understand programming at all.

Did you confirm the report's record source contains the field? Did you set
the control source of a text box to the field?

Since I’m not a programmer & I really don’t understand the lingo, I’m going
to list the events with images.

1. In the table set up I added a new field name to match a new field inside
my form.

2. In the design view I made a textbox and saved this information as “Inner
lbsâ€.

3. In the report design view I set up the properties to have the same field.

Once the report has been generated this field is always blank. In fact, the
system always requests that I input the parameters once I request the query
after my field modifications.

This is the first you have mentioned "system always requests that I input
the parameters". When in design view of the report, display the Field List.
Does your new field display in the field list?
