Ok i already set te project server import fro active directory all
users
but
it seems that didn't work.
Hi Manmeet,
I didn't try that. I will test it.
1. My server is member in the domain but is not a domain controler.
2. I tried to create with that format
3. I can ping my two domain controlers.

message Hi Mestre,
If you have Active Directory then you can directly import all the
users
by
going to the server configuration page of the admin tab. These
users
will
then be added to the resrouce pool and will by default have windows
authentication.
Make sure:
1. Project Server is a memeber server of the domain
2. While creating the resource pool you are entering the windows
user
account in the correct format i.e DOMAIN\name.
3. Try to ping project server with the domain controller to make
sure
that
it speaks correctly to it.

What I tried to do:
1 - I clean the all Project server database, projects, users,
everything.
2 - Open Project Professional with administrator account.
3 - Add myself in the Enterprise Resource Pool and when I save it
I
get
the
error invalid user account.
I think the problem that I have is because I'm not using exchange
in
my
domain, because if i use exchange, when i click windows account
on
resourse
information window I am seeing the addresses in active directory.

Did you add yourself in the Enterprise Resource Pool? Assuming
you
did,
you need to double-click your name and add your Windows User
Account
there
as well. This should allow you to save yourself in the
Enterprise
Resource Pool without triggering the error. From this point
forward,
do
not add user accounts in PWA. When you create resources in the
Enterprise
Resource Pool, the system automatically adds them as user
accounts
in
PWA.
Hope this helps.
Hi,
right now the only account that I have in project server is
administrator
and my account added in Project Web Access.

How did you add the resources? Did you type them or import
them?
Did
you add the resources initially in Project Web Access and
include
a
Windows User Account when you created them? Let us know.
Hi Dale,
thanks for your answer, but now I get an error of "Invalid
Windows
Accoutn". it looks like projects checks the account by
address
book
of
outlook, but here we don't use exchange, we use outlook but
with
personal folders and we access our mail trough a external
mail
server.
Can I still use windows authentication?
Thanks,
Mestre

I'm very new to Project Server and I am starting reading
the
all

One thing that i expect to be easy to doit is to add
resources,
but I
didn't find yet how I do it.
Anyone can give me a clue?
Thanks in advance,
