placed it on my page. Two things happen
when opened in internet explorer all the buttons were all over the page but
when opened in foxfire they were all in the right spots. how do i fix it so
that they work in both explorer and fox fire

Really? Post a link to a page of your website where we can see an example of
your problem with the cart buttons. Understand now?

I didn't ask for the website URL....I asked for a link to a specific page
where you were having the problem. There are no "cart buttons" on
http://www.glaservices.com/ . Why is that you refuse to provide a link to a
specific page where you are having the problem? If you had, you would have
gotten your answer yesterday. In the future please help us help you...we are
volunteering our time, so help us out a bit. Provide the details we request
and don't ask us to search through your site to find a problem.

First of all the huge image on the home page is a problem
http://www.glaservices.com/ :
http://www.glaservices.com/index_files/image1035.png is 910 x 1380 and is
1.6 MB in size! That means it takes 7 to 8 minutes to download for a dial-up
internet connection. No one is going to wait that long. Secondly it also
means that there is no text to index by the webbots on your home page. You
need to break that image up into individual text boxes and individual
images. If it is grouped together, then ungroup it. If you purposely made
the combined image, then break it up. Then remember to compress all your
graphics before you upload new files.

Reference: Compress graphics file sizes to create smaller Publisher Web
pages (2003):

Reference: Compress Pictures dialog box (2007):
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA100363901033.aspx?pid=CL100605171033

Now even though you did not specify a page where the paypal buttons are
rendering differently in IE and FF, perhaps this is an example:
http://www.glaservices.com/index_files/Page266.htm

To fix this first close Publisher and all your other applications, and then
either go to your control panel > Display or right click your desktop >
Properties and open the Display properties dialog. Go to Settings > Advanced
and under the General tab change the DPI setting to 96 dpi from 120 dpi.
Once your computer resets then open your Publisher file and adjust the
layout and publish and upload new files to your host. Now your pages should
render the same in both IE and FF.

One final tip - if you haven't done so already, install the Office 2007 SP2
patch.

I have done everything you said and still my pages are not right. the buttons
are still in the wrong place. How do I determine where to place the html
box. I go to insert html code and when I place it on the publisher page it
dose not show up on the web site right. Do you know of any othere program I
could use where when I place the htlm box it shows in that space not at the
bottom or on the side of the products.

it does not work on internet explorer but it does work on flock/ff

It does not appear you made the change from 120 dpi to 96 dpi. If you view
the page in both IE and FF side by side you will notice that the images are
about 25% larger in FF than in IE. Also look at how the text wraps. When the
images are larger in one browser, then the placement of your paypal buttons
is going to be off.

If indeed you have changed your display settings to 96 dpi as I suggested,
then perhaps it is because you did not manage to overwrite the old web files
on the server. Try deleting the old files before you upload the new ones. Or
better yet, test the html files before you upload them. When you Publish to
the Web direct your files to your desktop or somewhere else you can easily
find them. Then go into the index_files folder and find page 'Page266.htm '
, right click it, open with, FF. Then do the same thing with IE. Now you can
compare them side by side.

Also, I am wondering if you actually compressed the images as suggested? No
insult intended. I just notice that in FF you are getting a .png image file
and in IE you are getting a .emz image file? What format is your original
image file that you are inserting? I am assuming that you are using either a
..png or a .gif? I don't understand why you are getting .emz files in IE.
Please explain what format you are using and how you are inserting them into
the page?

And finally, is everything on the page and nothing in the scratch area. Your
page seems extra wide as compared to your home page.

Run the design checker under Tools.
