Add to Custom.dic

The custom.dic in Outlook 2007 does not appear to be active. Spellcheck is
flaggin words that are in the .dic, and when I go to additional words, the
"Add" button is grayed out. I've tried unselecting/selecting, etc. but
nothing seems to trigger the .dic for use. Anyone see this problem?
