"Add to dictionary" in Word 2003 is grayed out

I work in Word 2003 Standard Edition (US English), with Proofing Tools 2003
installed. My regional settings are Norwegian, but I generally write in UK
English (my default), often in Norwegian and now and then in US English.
My problem is that in any of my working languages other than the default UK
English, the “Add to Dictionary†command in the (right mouse-button) context
menu for spelling corrections is grayed out, so I can't add words to my
Norwegian and US English dictionaries.
Anyone know why and can offer a solution?

If you have separate dictionaries for the two languages, you need to make
sure that the correct one is the default one when you want to add. If you're
using a single Custom.dic, make sure that the language setting is "All
languages."
