When I select a bit of text to apply bold, red, size 14 (for example)
within a document of many styles, the entire document is changed to
bold, red, size 14.
If I click Undo after each (bold) (red) (14) change, only the bit I
selected remains changed, but since I change styles all day long, this
can get a bit tiring.
I looked up the fix for this: go into Normal Style, uncheck "update
automatically", then select "Save to Template"
The problem is, there IS NO "Save to Template" in the Modify Style
box. All I can see are:
"in this document", and "new documents based on this template"
Not sure if "new documents based on this template" is the default
direction to 'save to template' for Word 12, or if I'm missing
something.
thanks,
Diana
