add up resources?

J

JTH

I am running Project 2003 and am working on projects that have multiple recourses. Resource #1 is a group of 4 to 8 people; Resource #2 is a group of another 4 to 8 and Resource #3 is a group of another 4 to 8. I am contouring the allocation up and down on a monthly basis. Project does a great job of showing me the total number of work hours per resource per day but I need to show (in meetings) the total units (people) per day (or week or month). Any ideas???? In other words I want Project to add up all of the people (or work hours) from all the resources like it automatically does for the people inside a resource.

JTH:

You can create a custom group to group your resources.
So, from an assignment sheet, you can choose to group by
resource and insert the column "actual work." Now all
the resources in each group will have their actual work
summed at the grouping summary level.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

Another hint :

Apply the Resource Graph.

Right Click the graphic pane, select Unit Availability.

Right Click the graphic pane, select Bar Styles

In the Bar styles dialog box (left side): Filtered Resources : Show as .
what you want.

If there is no filter activated, that means that you see all the resources.

Hope this helps,
