I suggest you incorporate WEFT font embedding into FrontPage so fonts can
automatically be embedded in webpages when you publish your site.

It works perfectly on my site. I've had my wife test it from her computer
which doesn't have the fonts installed that I'm using on the site. It pulls
up and displays correctly. Otherwise I wouldn't ask for it to be included in
FrontPage.

WEFT is only supported in IE browsers and can be blocked by users.

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact

If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a
security update, then there is usually no charge for the call.

Took about 90 seconds to configure and upload (not much "trouble"). IE makes
up about 90% of the market....(MAC doesn't matter) if INDIVIDUAL users want
to block, that is their choice. From my experience MOST users are ignorant to
how to adjust IE settings (will display as I intend, not them).

IMHO
Weft is a major security hole
- most AV will try to (or should) block it
- if you allow it you are wide open to potential exploits
Instead of Weft see http://www.fontweaver.com/

Also most fonts are licensed and you can Not distribute them thru Weft (or any other means) w/o getting rights from the font
provider

Chris Leeds, MVP-FrontPage

I've used WEFT successfully in a couple of occasions (Invitations and
announcements where I was reasonably sure the browser would be IE) I also
specified a "close" font just in case.

I like WEFT and use it where I feel like it's OK, but I wouldn't use it for
"general public" web sites.
It's definitely better to use a more common font and if a very odd font is
required just do it as a graphic. (IMHO)
