Added 2 users to WSS server errors out

Since my sync isn't working --between PWA and WSS -- I've been manually
adding users. However, there are two inparticular users that error out (i
get the server error message). I have deleted them as resources within PWA -
then re-sync'd the group - then verfied the users were back - then tried to
add them manually again and it still errors out...anyone else have this
issues?
