Added link to newly added 2nd page - truncated link encountered in Preview

Hi All,

I'm a newbie web developer (but seasoned M/S programmer). I'm
developing my first website under FP 2003, using
http://viking.coe.uh.edu/~smarsh/fp2003/ as a guide.

I got to the step of creating a new page for the site and added text in
the main page intended to open the new page in a new window.

I added hyperlink properties to a word in that text telling FP to:

-- look in Current Folder
-- use address First%20New%20Page.htm
-- target frame New Window

Clicking on this new link in Preview failed because the URL was
truncated, as shown by the status bar:

--
file:///F:/Documents%20and%20Settings/[censored]/Desktop/biography/First%

What limits are in play here? How can I ameliorate this limitation
short of moving the develpment directory? (The tutorial recommended
placing the web site on the Desktop.)

Thanks in Advance,
Richard

Hey,

It worked fine when viewed in IE, so it looks like an FP 2003 bug, er,
feature :)

After moving the project to a "friendlier" location, I still find that
FP Preview doesn't bring up sibling pages. It brings up foreign pages
(http://blah.blah) and sections of the same page, but not sister
pages.

I confirmed this with full-blown "file" site, "GardenCo" provided by FP
2003 Step by Step.

Am I missing something?
