Added Load to WSS if Project Server is integrated?

I am launching Project Server 2003 and would like to integrate with an
existing WSS infrastructure but I need to know if there is added load to the
WSS site by doing so. Does integrating Project with WSS increase the load on
WSS or is it simply another chanel/door for existing usage? I mean people
already connect to WSS to create docs and collaborate right? Is integrating
Project adding any more load or just providing another means to get to those
docs and collaborate? What about Risks and Issues does that Project
functionality add any significant load?
I'm new to all this and soaking up all I can, thanks for any insight.

SC:

Increased usage = increased load. With that said, you can leverage an
existing WSS installation, but you need to create a separate virtual server
as Project Server adds customizations specific to it. Applying them to
existing sites can cause all sorts of problems.

That first part makes sense, I'm just trying to determine if connecting
Project to an existing wss would infact increase usage or simply provide an
alternate way of getting to and manipulating an existing source. But if I
have to create a new Virtual Server on the WSS server than it is certainly
indeed adding additional usage to the server. I think you answered my
question. I'll keep digging. Thank you, the response is greatly appreciated.
