I have a field and have set it up as "memo" and can it looks great but when
you go to, say, put an address and extra info in it it's all one line and
won't let you drop down in it like an address would. I'm in access 2007

I'm not saying what you are trying to do is incorrect or not because I don't
know what your database is doing.

However, having made that statement, you can force a line feed in a memo
control by pressing Ctrl Enter at the same time so:

This is my street (Ctrl Enter)
This is my Town (Ctrl Enter)
This is my City (Ctrl Enter)
etc

Like I said, whether this is correct or not is up to you.

Hope this helps?

Kindest regards

Might want to examine if this is the correct way to store an address in your
case. It is much easier to use an address later on if you keep the parts
seperated now instead of trying to do it later. If each part of the address
is kept in different fields you will be able to lookup/use zip codes,
streets and such much easier later. Once you combine them all into one memo
field you will need to use some code to parse the address back apart and
even with some extensive code you may still have trouble. Just a thought.

Thank you for your imput, what I found was I had modified a "text" to a
"memo" as it allowed but when doing so found it wouldn't let me maneuver in
it. I deleted the entire field and added it as if it were new with the
"memo" value (not changing from text to memo) It runs fine now...maneuvering
well...didn't like the change I guess...uninstall and reinstall...sounds
familiar lol
