We started without RBS for a month. I added RBS, assigned RBS to resources,
republished all activities. Data analysis shows no data. Help? TIA!

I think you missed a step. Log into PWA with administrator permissions and
then click Server Settings. On the Server Settings page, click the
Configuration link in the Cube section of the page. In the Cube Dimensions
section, click the Cube pick list and choose the Resource item on the list.
Add the RBS_Resource dimension to the list on the right and save your
settings. Rebuild the OLAP cubes and you should now see data. Hope this
helps.

Thankx for the reply. I did that as well. I recalled and submitted
timesheets, and I now have RBS, projects and tasks, but no actual work.
Hmmmm, closer. Ideas?

I found submitted time under "Applied Task Update Requests and Errors." not
published. No errors, just sitting there. Ideas?

After a PM approves task updates on the Task Updates page, he/she must
publish the latest version of the project. I find it easiest to approve all
task updates from within the actual Microsoft Project 2007 plan because
after approving updates, you can immediately perform variance analysis and
plan revision, and then publish the latest schedule changes. From your
description, it sounds like no one is publishing their projects after
accepting updates. Let us know and we will try to help you.

Thankx again. We are using activities and proposals for now. Can I add a rule
or setting to auto publish PM accepted task updates? I'm trying to accomplish
the processes with as few steps as possible? TIA!

Yes, your PMs can create Rules to auto-approve task updates, but keep in
mind that the Rules will auto-approve valid updates and "dirty" updates as
well. Short of using custom software development, however, there is no way
to auto-publish projects. Hope this helps.
