Hi
I just tried my hand in implementing the Addin for MS Office,
then this thought came to my mind as whether the same is applicable to Mac OS or not.

please suggest!!
if the answer is yes, then please specify that what sort of things i have to consider to implement the same.

I don't understand what you're asking - "add-in" is a genre, not a specific
term. They are essentially 'subroutines' written to expand on & enhance the
capabilities of another application. Whether any particular add-in can
simply be installed on both PC & Mac depends on the language in which it is
written, among other variables. It's also possible that there could be one
version of the add-in for Mac & another version written for Windows.

Hi Manjeet:

If by add-in you mean a template that loads on startup, then yes, any
template you place in Word's STARTUP folder will load automatically on
startup.

If, however, that template contains macros, then "No" is the answer for Word
2008 because it has no VBA. If you code such an add-in in VBA 5 (Word
2000-level) it will work in Word 2004.

If you are discussing a ".wll" (Word link library) then no, we do not have
those on the Mac.

Cheers
