adding a flash (swf) file to a presentation

I am trying to add a swf file to a presentation and it is not loading. The
place holder is there and it is trying to load but is not loading. I also
tried to load it via a url and it also is not loading. I have downloaded the
new version of flash player as well. If anyone can help it would be greatly
appreciated!

How did you add the SWF? Also, which version of PPT are you using?

How do you know it's "trying to load"?
