Adding a narration

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel

In the PC version of PowerPoint when you start a narration you can set the sound quality to stero or mono (a lot smaller size file) I cannot find a similar option in PowerPoint for MAC 2008. Is there a similar option and if so where?
