Adding a new shape to Visio

I am using Ms Visio to make technical drawings and would like to add
new shapes that behave like those found in the library/stencils.

Is it possible to design new shapes/objects to add to the library, -
and if so, - how can that be done?

Thanks Al,

I have now made my first own shapes, and getting to learn some of the
techniques. But I am experiencing problems making a shape that behaves
like an arrow, with fixed shape in the end. I wish to make a shape of
an anchor with an anchorline attached, being able to stretch the line
without altering the shape of the anchor (made up of two triangles
grouped). Any clue?

That one turns out to be pretty basic and is covered in David Edson's book
(professional development with visio 2000, in chapter 2). He has some
examples that are a little more than I would feel comfortable coveing here.
It has to do with creating controls and then putting the appropriate
formulas in them. Another great book(s) is Graham Wideman's (visio 200x
survival pack). They tend to answer about 95+% of the questions I come up
with.
