Adding a resource in the middle of the task

Hello,

I am somewhat new to MS Project. Is it possible to add a resource to a
task after the task has already started. I was currently trying to use
the personal calendar, but I dont want to turn days to non-working days
that are prior to a resources start on a task because I want that
resource working on another task. So, is it possible to add a resource
and make that resource start doing work on a task in the middle of that
task?

thanks,
Scott

Hello,
MS Project (2002) works naturally that way :
If you enter a 50% progress on one task with one resource, then you add a
new resource, Project assigns the new ressource only on the remaining
duration.
Another way : you can enter the work one day by day basis in the Task Usage
view

Hi Scott,

From the Gantt chart split your screen (Window -> Split) to show the task
form at the bottom. Click your secondary mouse button in the task form at
the bottom to show the shortcut menu. Choose Resource Schedule from the
shortcut menu. Pick the resource's name from the drop-down under the Resource
Name column, enter the work (if desired) and then in the Start column enter
the start date for that resource. Click OK in the task form and you are
there.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
