Adding a Task must use Outlook?

Can anyone confirm that you cannot add a task to Windows Calendar with
OneNote? I've researched this, but I cannot find a way to somehow
tweak/hack it to work.

If so that's very strange as it seems kind of a key OneNote task but Outlook
isn't part of the Home/Student edition and OneNote is not part of the
Pro/Business edition. This would mean that this feature only works for a)
Office Ultimate users b)Office Users who buy Outlook seperately.

But I digress. Any help?

You can add a task in OneNote and have it show up as a task in
Outlook...just not in the calendar.

Thanks very much for the responses. That saves me further research into the
issue.

It does make one wonder why they'd leave Outlook out of the Home and Student
edition. For reasonably full functionality, you actually get to pay closer
to $260. I guess I should be used to this from Microsoft by now.

They left it out because too many companies were cheating and buying the
Home & Student Edition for their offices. Since most companies
want/need Outlook, leaving it out of the Home & Student edition
effectively negates that tactic. (NOTE: This is my opinion and not an
official Microsoft position)

Besides, most home users don't really NEED Outlook anyhow - Windows Live
Mail, Windows Calendar and such are usually perfectly suitable for the
home user who is just going to e-mail their friends and family a few
times a week and keep track of Timmy's soccer schedule.
