Adding a voice recording function into MS Project?

Can Microsoft consider adding a voice recording function into MS Project?
For example, when I am reviewing the status of a project, on a particular
task, I may want to capture the status update from a team member as a short
voice clip.
So if a particular task has a voice clip associated with it then an icon
will show up.

Note: I don't mean to record the whole status meeting.

You can already do this. Double-click the task in question and select the
Notes tab. Click the Insert Object button to open the Insert Object dialog.
Select the "Create from file" option and then Browse to the location of the
audio file. Select the audio file and then click the Insert button. Select
the "Display as Icon" option and click the OK button. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,

What you described below is inserting (or attaching) a file to a task. Sure
we can do that if the attachment already exists.

What I am suggesting is more or less like this:
Have a column called Audio, for example. One click on Audio then the sound
recording starts. Click on Audio again the recording stops. (We need to
figure out the specifics here, for example, how do we start Play.)

The functionality you want does not exist. You have to use an application
such as Sound Recorder to record your notes and then insert the audio file
in the task. Hope this helps.
