Adding an Enterprise Resource Outline Code to a gantt view

Hi There,

I have just created a new Enterprise Resource Outline Code 1 (Network Team -
Project Owner) in enterprise fields ans I cant seem to add the field to the
Enterprise Gantt Chart, I cannot see the new field appear in the list of
choices, I see other Enterprise Project Outline Codes I have created but not
the Enterprise Resource Outline Code.

What am i missing?

Have you closed Project Professional and reopened it?

You have to do this to re-cache the Enterprise Global Template that you have
saved.

You can't display the Resource field in your Gantt view because your
Enterprise Resource OLutline Code applies to resources and the Gantt view
displays information about Tasks. You could display your code in a
resource-related view such as Resource Usage or Task Usage.

That said, judging by the name of your field, I suspect that you should be
using a custom Project field, not a Resource field. Its contents may be
resources' names, but that doesn't mean it should be a Resource code. If it
is information about the project, make it a project code.
