Adding an Image to a form SHUTS DOWN A2K !?!

Have a bizzare (and frustrating ) condition where
trying to add an Image control to an Access 2000 form will
cause Access to SHUT DOWN ! Recently updated the windows
media player on this Windows 2000 workstation and am
guessing this might be related. If anyone has any
suggestions this would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks,
Steve.
