adding an increment of 1 to existing values

Is there an easy way to add 1 to an existing column of
numbers? Example would be a chart showing years of
teaching experience. At the end of the year, we want to
add 1 year for each person. So the old value might be 6
and the new value we want would be 7. We are looking for
a simple way to do this. Thanks for any help.

Linda,

Place 1 in some empty cell and copy that cell. Then select the
cells to which you want to add 1. Then go to the Edit menu, choose
Paste Special, and select the Add operation. Click OK.
