Adding an insert picture button to a protected document

I'm a novice at macros and Word programming. I've searched the net and the
following posting:
http://groups.google.se/group/micro...ad/7744bb2611dacae1/76163b1f9bb9f249?lnk=raot

I have tried the solution provided in the above post, but it did not work in
Word 2007 for me. My question is very similar. I have a Word form and would
like to add a button and then assign a macro to unprotect the form (I am
using a password), insert a picture (or multiple pictures) and then
re-protect the form (using the same password). I'm using Word 2007 on a PC.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Ah, that's an old post. Since then I've made a demonstration template and
posted it for download. Go to http://jay-freedman.info and download
form_picture.zip, and unzip it into your Templates folder. It has directions
on how to apply the principles to your own form template, and how to examine
the macro code.

If you try it and have problems, post back -- but don't just say "it didn't
work". Describe exactly what did happen.

I've been playing around a lot with Jay's insert picture template and it's
pretty simple to use once you get the hang of it. My biggest problem with it
was conflicting bookmarks. I somehow by accident inserted a bookmark where
the macrobutton was, so it was (I believe?) conflicting the 2 bookmarks
(OLE_Link1 & PicButton1). As soon as I deleted the OLE_Link1 bookmark the
problem was resolved.

Now, if I could only figure out a way to pick a number from a dropdown box
and have it insert that many "Click here to insert photo" macrobuttons I'd be
on top of the world!

These guys are geniuses!

Thanks Jay...I'm headed to your site now and will download the demo. I will
provide more specifics on my results afterwards.
