Adding background color to an existing field in a table

My earlier post on changing font color was mis-stated. I'm trying to add a
background color in one data field in a simple Access database and can't seem
to make that happen. I've tried using the [color] option in the Format
section in Design View in Table Properties but that doesn't work.

Change the Back Color property, not the Format.

Where do I change the Back Color property? I don't see that option anywhere
in the property sheet or the field properties.
