The last column on my current worksheet is IV. How do I add additional
columns and lines to the worksheet. Thanks

You can't. All XL worksheets (from XL97/98) have 256 columns and 65536
rows.

MS has announced that XL12, coming late this year (maybe) for Windows
will allow 16,384 columns and 1,048,576 rows.

XL12 for Mac will likely follow a year or so after WinXL12 is released.

In the mean time, there are a number of workarounds, including
reorienting your worksheet to use rows rather than columns. That
obviously doesn't work if you have or plan to have more than 256 rows in
your current orientation.

You may also be able to use more than one worksheet in a workbook.

If JE's suggestions about rorienting/reoganizing your work don't
resolve the issue for you, perhaps you would do well to consider a
relational database program rather than Excel.
