Adding Comments in Word XP

I'm trying to add mouse over pop-up comments in a Word XP document. I
highlighted the word I want to associate with the pop-up, clicked
Insert - Comment and then typed my text in the associated box.

My problem is the comment will not disappear, it is always visible. If
I click hide comments, then when I mouse over the keyword, I don't get
the pop-up I want.

What am I doing wrong?
