Adding custom colors to a template

Susan W Gallagher

We've just defined a standard color palet for use in our documentation. Now I
want to make it easy for everyone to use. I know I can add a color scheme to
my PowerPoint template, but ...
-> Is there any way to add these colors to my Word template? I know I can
make character styles, but how do I make these colors easy to choose for
drawings?
->Likewise, is there any way to add and distribute a custom color in Visio?

Thanks for the help!

Oh, sorry - 2003 mostly. There might be a smattering of 2000s left, but I'm
fairly certain there are no 2007s.

Office 2007 makes what you want to do far easier by using Themes which can
be shared across the Office applications.

If I'm not mistaken for previous versions if you add the colors to the
custom color picker in your Word template they should be available to
documents based on the template. I'm currently using Office 2007 and no
longer have a previous version installed to provide exact steps. You may
want to ask this in a Word newsgroup. And do the same for Visio - I'm sorry
but I don't know about it.
