Adding Custom Fields to cube

I have defined a couple of enterprise fields, which I would like to add to
the cube. I added these fields in the cube configuration and built the cube
again. However, when I define a data analysis view, none of the custom
fields are available. How do I get them in these cubes?

This is related to which cube you add the field. For example, for a
field to be shown in Portfolio cube, which is a virtual cube, you need
to add the field to assignment cube.
