Adding Deliverables through MS Project - Error Code: -2146827187

When I am in the Project Client and go to Collaborate > Manage Deliverables,
the pane shows at the left hand side of the application.

I can then click to add a deliverable, but when I click OK, I get an error
that says:

Error:
An unspecified error has occurred.

Error Code: -2146827187
Error Message: The argument value is not valid

Does anyone know what this means? The deliverable is added to the
SharePoint site's deliverables list, but I get this error in MS Project.

Jason:

When you add a deliverable into SharePoint directly, then you should use the
"Get Updates" link in the manage deliverables side pane. This will synch the
deliverable to the project.

Gary: I am experiencing the same issue as described below. I add a
deliverable in MS Project; it shows in SharePoint. After clicking on "Get
Updates" in MS Project; I still get the error message. I can add all the
deliverables with the same error message. Any other ideas? This is not
consistent with all users of this function. Thanks for your help.

The error is likely coming from SQL and it generally indicates a failure to
read the data for lack of access.
