Adding email address using a comma or semi-colon

One thing I really miss with Entourage is the ability to enter email
addresses by using a comma or semi-colon and then it would automagically
find the addresses.

I frequently have lists of people (when organising events say) that I would
sent a group email to.. When I used outlook, I would convert the list into a
comma separated list (using word) and then just copy and paste into the
"To:" field and outlook would then automatically look up the address. I
think mail.app does the same.

Anyway of doing something similar with Entourage? Typing each one, then
hitting tab is quite laborious

Entourage will recognized comma delimited addresses. For example copy and
paste this line into the To field:

(e-mail address removed), (e-mail address removed)

I don't think that is what he meant. He would like to type "Dave Cortright,
Bill Gate, Stev Jobs", paste that into Entourage and then have Entourage
mapping the names to the corresponding e-mail addresses in the address book
automagically.

Hi.
Thank you for the response and apologies for not getting back sooner.

In fact, BB is correct - that is what I am trying to do. Is it possible?

It is possible, but to do so you'll have to maintain your contacts in an
LDAP server and point Entourage at that LDAP server. You can then "check
names" against the LDAP server which will resolve the names into addresses.
