So, am I just missing something or is this really as terrible as
it seems to me?
I'm trying to add error bars to a graph, and take the size of
the error bars from the same spreadsheet as the data points,
from the column right next to data point values.
So I try to use the "Custom Specify Value" thing, and browse
over to the spot on the spreadsheet.
But the dialog is on top, and then there's the little floating box
with the button on it.
And I can't *see* the spreadsheet section with the data on it,
because the dialog is hiding it and I can't move the dialog,
because the floating button thing is open.
It starts out by putting in error bars of constant value 1, erasing
the pre-existing error bar values, meaning I have to start over
again and can't just make some small change. Like, for example,
I grabbed the wrong column (see the previous bit about not being
able to see my spreadsheet) and wanted to change it. Well it
erased it and started over with a constant value of 1. In both
directions.
This seems like it should be something that should be fairly easy
and yet it has been a highly frustrating hour of sitting here bashing
at this thing. In previous Excel version it would have been a few
seconds.
I can't be the only person having trouble with this.
